Production Process
Cell Cutting
Automatic laser cutting/splitting of solar cells into required size (half-cell cut).
Automatic Welding
Cells are automatically interconnected with solder ribbons into strings via infrared soldering.
Lay-up
Glass, EVA, cell strings, EVA and backsheet are automatically stacked in the correct sequence.
Lamination
The stack is sealed under vacuum at high temperature and pressure in the laminator.
EL Inspection
Electroluminescence test to detect microcracks, broken cells and defects.
Trimming
Excess EVA and flash around the edges are removed.
